I get a lot of questions about how our All Over Color Sticks come to life, so I thought I’d pull back the curtain and give you a little peek into my tiny studio here in Illinois. Spoiler: there’s no big team, no giant factory, just me, a lot of love, and a whole lot of color.
Every single balm base is handmade by yours truly. I carefully measure, melt, and mix each batch to get that perfect creamy texture that glides on effortlessly. Once the base is ready, I hand-mix in FDA-approved mica pigments that are safe for your eyes, lips, and face. That’s right, every shade is crafted with care so it’s both beautiful and safe.
After mixing, I pour the balms into their zero-plastic containers and let them dry, air-hole covered, so they set perfectly. Then comes the fun part: labeling each one by hand. It’s slow, meticulous work, but it means every stick is personal, just like the rest of your Hello Wink experience.
This isn’t a big corporate lab. It’s a small, cozy corner of Illinois where passion meets pigment and where sustainability and playfulness are just as important as the perfect pop of color. Every stick is made with intention, ready to bring a little magic to your day.
