It’s been a rough time for small businesses, I’m not going to lie. The climate out there is crazy, and it’s been heartbreaking to see some of my small business friends, especially those running zero-waste or sustainable brands, close their doors. Sustainability is such a small, fiercely committed community, and options are already limited, so it’s disheartening when small sustainable businesses have to shutter.
2025 was a slow year, especially in the middle, but I stayed optimistic that things would improve. And they totally did! Wholesale orders SHOT up in January, and I was completely shocked by the amount of love and support for my tiny brand. I’m so grateful and happy to pack every single order.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m feeling hopeful, and here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect from Hello Wink this year:
New Colors! I’ve been quietly testing some shades in the background and hope to launch new colors soon, so stay tuned!
The return of skincare! YES I loved Hello Skin, and I’ll be bringing back some of those sustainable skincare items to the shop this year.
The return of some beloved, decommissioned colors. I’ve missed them too much, so they’ll be back soon!
Thank you again for sticking with me. I’m not a huge company with lots of backing—I’m just a mom. I still work full-time (9–5), like so many small business owners, and I make every post, reel, and TikTok, handcraft every Hello Wink stick in my little makeup lab, and package every wholesale and single order myself.
